Victorinox knives and kitchen equipment

Victorinox

Victorinox is perhaps the most famous knife brand from the roof of Europe – better known as Switzerland. In addition to kitchen knives, Victorinox also manufactures pocket knives, luggage, watches, clothing and much more. What all of their products share is an uncompromising focus on design, quality and functionality.

The story began in 1891, when Karl Elsener created the first model of what would later become the world-famous Swiss Army Knife. The brand’s iconic logo – a white cross on a shield – symbolises Swiss craftsmanship, precision and pride. At H.W.Larsen, you’ll find a selection of Victorinox knives, peelers and sharpening steels that combine performance, ergonomics and long-lasting durability.

Swiss Craftsmanship and Tradition Since 1884

Victorinox was founded in 1884 by Karl Elsener in the Swiss town of Ibach. In the beginning, he produced knives for the Swiss Army – the later world-famous “Swiss Army Knife”. The brand quickly became synonymous with quality, precision and innovation, setting a new standard for functional design and durability in knife-making.

When Karl Elsener’s mother passed away, he decided to name the company after her – “Victoria”. In 1921, the company introduced stainless steel into its products, known as “inox” (from the French acier inoxydable). The combination of “Victoria” and “Inox” gave rise to the name we know today: Victorinox.

Victorinox knives have long been a favourite among chefs and butchers – both in Denmark and internationally – for good reason. They feature a clean, sharp and durable design that fits perfectly in the hand, allowing efficient work for many hours without fatigue. The same philosophy drives Victorinox today: creating tools you can rely on every single day. The combination of Swiss craftsmanship and modern technology ensures knives that retain their sharpness, balance and quality – year after year.

Exceptional Materials and Design

Victorinox uses only carefully selected materials to ensure maximum performance and durability. The blades are made from martensitic stainless steel, which can be hardened to achieve the ideal balance of strength and flexibility. Handles come in a variety of materials, including wood, synthetic composites and the iconic Alox aluminium – all designed for a secure grip and long lifespan.

Production takes place under strict quality control in Switzerland, and each product undergoes extensive testing to ensure the characteristic Swiss precision. The combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern innovation makes Victorinox a brand that stands for reliability and perfection down to the smallest detail.

Knives Designed for Precision, Balance and Comfort

Victorinox knives are designed to give you complete control while working – whether you’re chopping herbs, slicing meat or filleting fish. The sharp blade ensures clean cuts, while the ergonomic handle reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The knives are also easy to sharpen, so you can always maintain optimal cutting performance.

In our range, you’ll find Victorinox chef’s knives, bread knives, vegetable knives and peelers – all designed for usability and precision. Pair your knives with a Victorinox honing steel to maintain sharpness and extend the life of your tools.

Sustainability and Quality in One

Victorinox is guided by strong values of responsibility and long-term sustainability. All steel is sourced from European suppliers, and any surplus materials are recycled within production. The company also supports social and environmental projects through the Victorinox Foundation, ensuring jobs and resources for future generations.

Each product is built with longevity, repairability and recyclability in mind – rather than disposable consumption. Choosing Victorinox means combining functionality, quality and responsibility.
